Research interests focus on Human Monocyte, Macrophage, Dendritic cell and T-lymphocyte biology with a focus on human dendritic cell subtypes and subsets. For the past 15 years our group has been working on the characterization of primary human myeloid cells, in particular dendritic cells and their phenotypically and functionally different subsets including monocyte-derived dendritic cells and blood circulating CD1c+ dendritic cells.  More recently our group also became interested in better understanding the contribution of plasmacytoid dendritic cells in regulating innate and adaptive immunity.
